Sunday Concert @ Bechtler

For my friends in the Charlotte region, I hope to see many of you on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art for the second installment of the Out of Bounds Ensemble/Bechtler Ensemble  concert. We will present a multi-media concert in the main gallery (4th floor) of the museum at 4:00 p.m., conducted by Alan Yamamoto with guest soloists Virginia Gutierrez and Rebecca Cook-Carter.

This is a repeat of the concert from last Sunday at Winthrop University, with the added bonus of admission to the art gallery. The collection is wonderful. In addition to traveling exhibits, there are originals by the likes of Andy Warhol, Alberto Giacometti, Joan Miro, Jean Tinguely and Barbara Hepworth – Learn more at: http://bechtler.org/Collection/Collection-strengths#sthash.RpwhjkNV.dpuf

If you make it to the concert please say hello. If we have not met, please introduce yourself, I am always open to meeting people who value the arts.

Program:
Parks – Simple Things for soprano and chamber ensemble, soloist Virginia Gutierrez
Bove – Broken Being for string sextet
Allemeier – Solstice for chamber sextet
Mahler – Ruckert Leider (arranged by Yamamoto), soloist Rebecca Cook Carter
