My latest chamber work, Park Güell, for violin, viola, cello, harp, and marimba, was premiered today by the Bechtler Ensemble in Charlotte, NC, USA. I could not have been more pleased with the performance. The Bechtler Ensemble, led by cellist Tanja Bechtler, is populated with some of the finest musicians in the Charlotte region, mostly members of the Charlotte Symphony. The spirited performance was conducted by Alan Yamamoto. The concert was part of the Charlotte Composers Forum which showcases Charlotte area composers and performers. For my friends in the Charlotte area, there will be a second performance of the entire concert at Queens University, (Charlotte,NC) Dana Auditorium on Sunday, January 31, 2016, 7:00 p.m. Free and open to the public. Contact me for details.
