My upcoming new piece for string quartet, “After Sol LeWitt: Wall Drawing #995” will be premiered by the Bechtler Ensemble in June, 2023. “After Sol LeWitt: Wall Drawing #995” was commissioned by the Bechtler Ensemble and is inspired by visual artist Sol LeWitt’s “Wall Drawing #995” which is in the collection of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte, NC. The Bechtler Ensemble is headed up by cellist Tanya Bechtler and is the resident music ensemble for the museum. The concert will include new works by several other Charlotte area composers also based on “Wall Drawing #995”. Look for updates as the concert draws near.
