My piano piece …drift… was selected via peer review for performance at the 2026 Society of Composers Inc. Region IV Conference. Pianist Tomoko Deguchi performed …drift… The performance was well-received. I will post the recording on my Listening Room page soon. The conference was hosted by Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and was one of the most well-run new music conferences/festivals I have attended. I grew up nearby in the Asheville region and was pleased to see that the area is doing well and has maintained a strong art and music scene. …drift… was written on commission from the Force of Nature artist residency and premiered as part of the opening ceremony in Charlotte, NC.
