digitritus

My most recent electroacoustic work is now complete and will be included in an upcoming exhibit at Winthrop University. Digitritus is a short film that was created in collaboration with my colleague Seth Rouser. Seth approached me about working together on a project some time ago and I was delighted to have the opportunity to work together with such a talented and promising artist. Seth’s film is a retrospective of his recent works as seen through layers of juxtaposition and digitally altered filtering. Following Seth’s lead I integrated segments of many of my previous electroacoustic works also juxtaposed and digitally altered. Digitritus is a comment on how digital technology is impacting how we create, view, and value art in the digital age. Seth and I have plans for future collaborations on both video works and installations.
