Happy New Year to all! With the new year comes the latest upgrade to my composition studio! I have had a personal composition studio for many years and upgrade it as time and budget permits. The current studio includes a MacBook Pro M1, two extra video monitors (one primarily for scores/DAW and one for video work), a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, an Allen & Heath MixWizard WZ 12:2dx mixer, Genelec studio monitors, an iPad as a DAW touch screen interface for audio software, a M-Audio Keystation 88MK3 MIDI keyboard, a Maschine Mikro MIDI tap pad interface, a Fender rumble 15 bass/guitar amp, microphones, an Ibanez sunburst hollow body electric guitar, and my trusty 1975 Fender Precision maple body/neck bass (my first professional bass). I also upgraded the acoustic treatment, most of which is not visible in the photo. I am energized and looking forward to finishing up some current projects and getting started on upcoming projects including additional movements for my latest piano trio, a new brass quintet, and a series of instrumental EPs with guitarist and long time friend Gaylon Green to be released under our band name Auria. 2024 is looking like a fun and productive year!
