My latest composition, “Bygone” for viola and piano, is set for premiere at the South Carolina Music Teachers Association state conference on Friday, November 6, 2026. The SCMTA state conference will be held at Newberry College. It features Matthew Darsey – viola, and Matthew Manwarren – piano. The performance will be accompanied by a video of abandoned trails, roads, railroads, etc., both in their current and past states. I had considered live audio processing and sound design for the premiere performance, but decided to go with piano and viola only for the premiere due to time constraints and limited equipment availability. I am considering a performance with video and live processing for a possible future concert at Winthrop University. I will post the score to my Scores page when the final draft is available.
