Touching in Texas and Anacoustic Zones chosen for film festival

Two short films featuring my music, Touching in Texas and Anacoustic Zones, have been selected for inclusion in the 2016 Underexposed Film Festival. The Underexposed Film Festival takes place in Rock Hill, SC annually. Inclusion is determined by jury selection. This year it runs from November 2 through 5 and features eight blocks of independent short films.

Anacoustic Zones will be screened in block F on Saturday, November 5 10 a.m. ~ noon . Anacoustic Zones is a collaboration with painter and video artist Seth Rouser. Seth created a video to accompany my electroacoustic composition of the same name. Clouds figure heavily.

Touching in Texas will be screened in block G on Saturday, November 5, 2 to 4 p.m. Touching in Texas is a short narrative film based on a short story by writer Dustin Michael Hoffman. I contributed dialogue recording and editing, sound design, and music for Touching in Texas. It was very much a team effort and I look forward to the first public screening of our work. Touching in Texas has been accepted to two other film festivals. Stay tuned for updates and details.
