I have posted the score for my latest composition Nothing Left to Lose… for string quartet to my Scores page. It is the first movement of a two movement string quartet in progress called Getting Down to Business. The second movement, Diminishing Returns, is in progress (more on that as it develops). Nothing Left to Lose was written for the Beo String Quartet and the Charlotte New Music Festival. The title, Nothing Left to Lose…, refers to the compositional process featured in the piece. Successive sections introduce material fully realized, followed by thinning of those materials through subtractive processes. I look forward to the premier of Getting Down to Business by the Beo String Quartet as part of the 2018 Charlotte New Music Festival.
