My electroacoustic composition Deluge was presented at the 2016 New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival last week. The annual festival has quickly grown to international stature under the leadership of Hubert “Tuck” Howe of CUNY Queens. The festival included dozens of composers from all over the world. Works ranged from electroacoustic compositions, to interactive and hybrid computer music, to videos. It was great hearing Deluge in the Abrons Arts Center in lower Manhattan and catching up with some old friends. While in New York I also caught an experimental theatre performance at the Little Theater, Fuerza Bruta (dance/theater), and the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival.
