I have posted a recording of Afterimage 4 to my Audio page. This recording features pianist Tomoko Deguchi for whom the piece was written in 2001. While I was always happy with the piano part, I was never quite comfortable with the original computer part. When we were invited to perform Afterimage Virginia Tech in fall 2016, I thought the time was right to finally revise/complete the computer processing part of Afterimage 4. Now, after more than a decade, Afterimage 4 finally feels complete. This recording features Tomoko’s performance with the updated computer processing. We hope to perform Afterimage 4 with live processing at upcoming new music and computer music festivals and conferences.
