Welcome to my blog. I am a composer living and working in upstate South Carolina, USA. To learn more about me and my music follow the links. I was born in 1960 in Waynesville, NC and lived in Canton, NC until my family relocated to High Point, NC in 1972. After that, life, study, and work took me to Lexington, NC, Winston-Salem, NC, San Francisco, CA, Gainesville, FL, Buffalo, NY, Oswego, NY, and finally back to Charlotte, NC. I currently make my living by teaching composition, music theory, and music technology at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where I live with my wonderful wife Tomoko Deguchi (music theorist and pianist for the Out of Bounds Ensemble).
